Schooner Olad Camden Maine setting sail 15 May, 2010

Schooner trips start 15 May, a little earlier than usual due to the great weather.

Explore Penobscot Bay, with its rocky shoreline, lighthouses, seals, bald eagles, islands, lobster boats and hidden mansions. Schooner Olad sails daily from Camden, Maine; Memorial Day weekend to mid-October. Schooner Olad offers historic two-hour daysails aboard a completely restored, classic yacht."

Heritage cruise aboard Schooner 'Surprise'

Enjoy the 90th Birthday of the beautiful schooner 'Surprise', with a celebration cruise out of Camden harbor. June 27th at 4.30 pm.

On board will be photos from her 90 year history, letters and anecdotes from over the years. 'Surprise' is the oldest day sailing windjammer in Camden.

Lake Megunticook Maine Adventure

About six miles North of Camden, this lake is very popular for kayaking and its stunning scenery. Today though a boat ride, picnic and snorkel were the highlights.

Scuba diving in Maine

Terry finally got in his first dive of the season. Beauchamp point, Rockport Maine, a few miles from Blue Harbor House. Good visibility as the water was still pretty cold... Checking out Natures larder(!)...he spotted some lobsters and a crab. Not quite the Carribean for a dive location, (dry suit required, and not many colorful fish) but very similar to diving in Scotland!

Maiden's Cliff, Camden

Take a hike up one of the many trails in Camden Hills State park. The views are incredible.
The 5,500 acre park provides 30 miles of hiking trails along the shore and in the Megunticook Mountain range, whose peaks rise from near sea level to a height of 1,380 feet. One outstanding feature of this range is Maiden Cliff, a rock outcropping that rises 800 feet from the shore of Megunticook Lake and offers hikers outstanding views from the top. Take a look at these absolutely stunning views. Breathtaking!
