Owls Head Light

Owls Head Light (12 miles from Camden) is an active Light dating from 1828 marking the south entrance of Rockland harbor. The lighthouse is located in Owls head Light state Park, and the keepers house is still used as quarters by the Coast Guard. It is accessible by road, with spectacular views and photo opportunities. These photos were taken on a beautiful Spring day, April 2008.

Camden Winterfest

The centerpiece of Camden's wonderful Winterfest is the amazing Ice Carving Event. A dozen teams transform ordinary blocks of ice into crystaline ice sculptures.

In addition to the ice carving, there is winter fun, music, hot food, street hockey, horse drawn carriage rides and family activities to round out the day’s activities. This all takes place Feb 02nd and 03rd 2008.
